STEVEN- I have been helping people solve their body problems for 13 years now. I have been active in martial arts since around 6 or 7, and started avidly going to the gym when I was 14 which led me to a brief stint in bodybuilding from around 15 to 17. My studies of the processes behind muscle building, fat loss and solving other ailments and injuries through health and exercise has been a never ending and constant obsession of mine. This all lead me to major in Health & Wellness Studies at Missouri State University, and I believe there is always more to learn and improve upon. Over my last 15 years of service as a personal trainer, I have helped people in a number of areas and have gained experience in many areas of health and fitness such as muscle building and fat loss, sport-specific training, post-rehab and post-surgery training, working with special needs clients, martial arts instruction, and mobility improvement and pain relief through myofascial release and stretching.

Tiffany's Impact on My Life – by Candice Harris Belfer
I will never forget the day April 5, 2010... I came head on with Head Fitness Trainer; Tiffany Yates at Fitness Ridge, Biggest Loser Resort. Ironically I had just finished her "Mountain" class. It was the first class of my first day of eight hour ASS-kicking classes that I had waited months for. I was up over 35 pounds and an emotional wreck. I also had a huge chip on my shoulder and couldn't admit that I needed to be there even if I knew I WANTED to. I was so mad at myself for failing, consumed by my home trainer who kept telling me I wasn't ever going to succeed, that I was lazy, and I had let him down. It wasn't him, it was me! I let myself down but I didn't understand it + "It" was suffocating and deafening. Tiffany saw me walking out at the end of class with tears and she insisted that I must look at the FULL view. What did that mean? Perhaps what it applies in my life today! I have been so mad at my book keeper for stealing from me this past year, and my nanny who has been critically ill in the hospital that I forgot to take care of myself. Then, my friend Jen Morton calls to tell me that Tiffany is dedicating an Iron Man for me and I quickly remembered how strong I really am. I must continue to repeat this to myself and begin to live it: "Tiffany, I got this. I know what to do. You gave me everything I need so it's time to do it!"
