SHEILA - I have been a Group Training Instructor for over 10 years and a Personal Trainer for over 5. I have a personal passion for fitness as I was born with a Congenital Heart Defect and had open heart surgery twice. I know by being in great shape you can recover much quicker from something major. My most recent surgery was in September of 2009. I was back Personal training by October and teaching Kickboxing by November. As a Mom of two and working full time – I understand that it is difficult to find time to exercise, that guilty pleasure of “me time” – that is why I will come to you and work very efficiently, working multiple muscle groups, motivate you, listen to you, set realistic goals, and basically work your “butt” off – literally. I have been working with some of the same clients for over 5 years – you become friends – it is emotional as well as physical. Let’s get started TODAY!!!

RHIANNON – My goal in teaching Yoga is to assist my students toward self awareness. Having awareness of the physical body allows students to regulate themselves with diet, exercise and stress management. I hope to transmit to my students tools for change which will help them create lasting habits which are fulfilling and beneficial.
Yoga is a discipline which asks practitioners to breathe and remain calm as the body concentrates muscle and mind on holding challenging postures. The postures are part of a long time scientific method developed over 5,000 years ago. Today we can use Yoga to mange weight, emotions, and to gain insight as to what our bodies need. Being aware allows us to find an inner dialogue in order to move beyond compulsion or negative thought patters. It is an exercise in lifestyle change.

SHANNON - I have been involved the fitness industry for 24 years both as an athlete and coach. With a Masters degree in Kinesiology and All American status in Track in Field, I have had the opportunity to coach Division I NCAA athletics for 5 years. I am an All-American athlete in the 800 Meters and I currently hold the 800 Meter and 1500 Meter records at my college (still standing for 22 year records and going.... : ) I was nominated NCAA Track Woman of the year while in college. I was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2006 for my contributions to the athletic department both as an athlete and as a coach at the college I attended. After coaching collegiate athletics, I decided to enter the private sector and I have been a weight loss consultant, personal fitness trainer and nutrition coach.
My passion is getting people healthy and helping them to achieve their personal goals. I want to share my knowledge of sports, fitness and healthy living with others. There is no quick fix pill that can be taken to healthy living. One thing that track and field has taught me is that we must have goals, we must visualize those goals daily and hard work and dedication is part of this process.
