LYLE - Keeping exercise and health awareness a part of my daily routine has been my primary focus throughout my life. My goal is to motivate my clients to become more active in their daily lives and achieve an overall balance in healthy living.
When I began high school I was overweight. I was unhappy with myself not because I was overweight but because I was unhealthy. I made a decision to turn my life around and become a serious athlete. I joined my high school soccer and wrestling teams to put myself on a schedule and a path to lead an active and healthier lifestyle. Through this decision, I figured, my weight would improve. My plan worked! Next thing I new I was first string on the varsity soccer team and took 2nd in the state of North Carolina 2 years in a row in my wrestling weight class (which was light!). This achievement awarded me a scholarship to wrestle in college. My goal now is to help others achieve their fitness and weight loss goals and to pass on the knowledge for safe, functional, FUN and effective exercise programs.

Tiffany's Impact on My Life – by Candice Harris Belfer
I will never forget the day April 5, 2010... I came head on with Head Fitness Trainer; Tiffany Yates at Fitness Ridge, Biggest Loser Resort. Ironically I had just finished her "Mountain" class. It was the first class of my first day of eight hour ASS-kicking classes that I had waited months for. I was up over 35 pounds and an emotional wreck. I also had a huge chip on my shoulder and couldn't admit that I needed to be there even if I knew I WANTED to. I was so mad at myself for failing, consumed by my home trainer who kept telling me I wasn't ever going to succeed, that I was lazy, and I had let him down. It wasn't him, it was me! I let myself down but I didn't understand it + "It" was suffocating and deafening. Tiffany saw me walking out at the end of class with tears and she insisted that I must look at the FULL view. What did that mean? Perhaps what it applies in my life today! I have been so mad at my book keeper for stealing from me this past year, and my nanny who has been critically ill in the hospital that I forgot to take care of myself. Then, my friend Jen Morton calls to tell me that Tiffany is dedicating an Iron Man for me and I quickly remembered how strong I really am. I must continue to repeat this to myself and begin to live it: "Tiffany, I got this. I know what to do. You gave me everything I need so it's time to do it!"
Love to each Fitness Ridge Fitness Professional who works every day to help people struggling with obesity find a reason and a way to LIVE! Go life Ethics, Inc. and My Genes Fit!! |
