KARL- Hey! I’m Karl. I hold a B.S. in Exercise Science, and also am a certified Health & Physical Education teacher. Through my several years of experience as a personal trainer and teacher I have helped many different people reach a multitude of goals. From a 15 year old athlete with collegiate aspirations, to middle aged men and women on the weight loss journey, to an incredible 82 year old man looking to maintain his active lifestyle, I have done it all. As a lifelong athlete, decorated collegiate soccer player and team captain, health and fitness have always been a driving force in my life. It has been the foundation on which I build my life’s successes. As a trainer, I strive to transfer this passion for healthy living and a ‘hard work breeds success’ mentality into every person with whom I am fortunate enough to work. My philosophy of training goes beyond the physical. I am actually working to improve all facets of my client’s lives; healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally. Also, as a personal trainer having a background in education, I feel that every session is more than a workout, but rather an educational experience for you to use to remain active, fit, and healthy. I do what I do in order to help people change their lives, achieve their goals, and reach a happy and healthy balance in life.

Tiffany's Impact on My Life –
by Candice Harris Belfer

I will never forget the day April 5, 2010... I came head on with Head Fitness Trainer; Tiffany Yates at Fitness Ridge, Biggest Loser Resort. Ironically I had just finished her "Mountain" class. It was the first class of my first day of eight hour ASS-kicking classes that I had waited months for. I was up over 35 pounds and an emotional wreck. I also had a huge chip on my shoulder and couldn't admit that I needed to be there even if I knew I WANTED to. I was so mad at myself for failing, consumed by my home trainer who kept telling me I wasn't ever going to succeed, that I was lazy, and I had let him down. It wasn't him, it was me! I let myself down but I didn't understand it + "It" was suffocating and deafening. Tiffany saw me walking out at the end of class with tears and she insisted that I must look at the FULL view. What did that mean? Perhaps what it applies in my life today! I have been so mad at my book keeper for stealing from me this past year, and my nanny who has been critically ill in the hospital that I forgot to take care of myself. Then, my friend Jen Morton calls to tell me that Tiffany is dedicating an Iron Man for me and I quickly remembered how strong I really am. I must continue to repeat this to myself and begin to live it: "Tiffany, I got this. I know what to do. You gave me everything I need so it's time to do it!"

Love to each Fitness Ridge Fitness Professional who works every day to help people struggling with obesity find a reason and a way to LIVE! Go life Ethics, Inc. and My Genes Fit!!
