JAMIE - The passion I have for people led me to this exciting career in fitness. As a child, I was active in many sports including gymnastics, baton, soccer and Jump Rope for Heart; all of which led me to my true passion, dance. For eight years I danced at a local studio in my hometown of Brattleboro, Vermont both competitively and for fun and started a dance team my first two years at Becker College in Massachusetts. Lipscomb University led me to Nashville in 2002, where I eventually began my career in fitness as a Certified Zumba Instructor and soon after began teaching sculpt, butts & guts, and Boot camp classes. I knew Personal Training was for me and obtained my NASM CPT in October of 2009.
I have trained a variety of people and was given the opportunity to participate in a wonderful opportunity where I trained three moms of NFL players for Eddie George’s NFL Mom’s Challenge, featured on the Dr. Oz show. My specialties include Core Training, Balance Training, Interval Training, Assisted Stretching, Individualized Programs, Goal Progressions, and Weight Loss. I am willing to travel around Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.

Tiffany's Impact on My Life – by Candice Harris Belfer
I will never forget the day April 5, 2010... I came head on with Head Fitness Trainer; Tiffany Yates at Fitness Ridge, Biggest Loser Resort. Ironically I had just finished her "Mountain" class. It was the first class of my first day of eight hour ASS-kicking classes that I had waited months for. I was up over 35 pounds and an emotional wreck. I also had a huge chip on my shoulder and couldn't admit that I needed to be there even if I knew I WANTED to. I was so mad at myself for failing, consumed by my home trainer who kept telling me I wasn't ever going to succeed, that I was lazy, and I had let him down. It wasn't him, it was me! I let myself down but I didn't understand it + "It" was suffocating and deafening. Tiffany saw me walking out at the end of class with tears and she insisted that I must look at the FULL view. What did that mean? Perhaps what it applies in my life today! I have been so mad at my book keeper for stealing from me this past year, and my nanny who has been critically ill in the hospital that I forgot to take care of myself. Then, my friend Jen Morton calls to tell me that Tiffany is dedicating an Iron Man for me and I quickly remembered how strong I really am. I must continue to repeat this to myself and begin to live it: "Tiffany, I got this. I know what to do. You gave me everything I need so it's time to do it!"
Love to each Fitness Ridge Fitness Professional who works every day to help people struggling with obesity find a reason and a way to LIVE! Go life Ethics, Inc. and My Genes Fit!! |
