ELAINE - I have been practicing yoga for most of my adult years. Yoga has been everything to me, a way of staying healthy, focused, and strong. It has helped me through many of life’s passages; it kept me sane when everything around me was not. I decided to teach yoga because I realized that I had something valuable to offer…my love of the practice and my enthusiasm. I love teaching…. I love knowing that my students walk away from a session feeling good and that they take what they learned into their everyday lives in very subtle ways.

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy has compounded the yoga experience for me. I have been able to experience profound growth and have witnessed it in my clients.

My practice is eclectic although I base much on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar which emphasizes precision, clarity and alignment.

QUOTE: "I encourage my students to develop awareness on all levels, body, mind and breath. Besides offering Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy sessions I teach yoga to all flexibilities, amd ages, people in wheelchairs, prenatal, seniors, MS, all needs and abilities. We learn in yoga that we are only limited by our minds. Yoga opens one up to all possibilities….old habits can be changed…new patterns can be created."

Tiffany's Impact on My Life –
by Candice Harris Belfer

I will never forget the day April 5, 2010... I came head on with Head Fitness Trainer; Tiffany Yates at Fitness Ridge, Biggest Loser Resort. Ironically I had just finished her "Mountain" class. It was the first class of my first day of eight hour ASS-kicking classes that I had waited months for. I was up over 35 pounds and an emotional wreck. I also had a huge chip on my shoulder and couldn't admit that I needed to be there even if I knew I WANTED to. I was so mad at myself for failing, consumed by my home trainer who kept telling me I wasn't ever going to succeed, that I was lazy, and I had let him down. It wasn't him, it was me! I let myself down but I didn't understand it + "It" was suffocating and deafening. Tiffany saw me walking out at the end of class with tears and she insisted that I must look at the FULL view. What did that mean? Perhaps what it applies in my life today! I have been so mad at my book keeper for stealing from me this past year, and my nanny who has been critically ill in the hospital that I forgot to take care of myself. Then, my friend Jen Morton calls to tell me that Tiffany is dedicating an Iron Man for me and I quickly remembered how strong I really am. I must continue to repeat this to myself and begin to live it: "Tiffany, I got this. I know what to do. You gave me everything I need so it's time to do it!"

Love to each Fitness Ridge Fitness Professional who works every day to help people struggling with obesity find a reason and a way to LIVE! Go life Ethics, Inc. and My Genes Fit!!
